1950

A small group of fishing families banded together to form a fishing cooperative.   Among the founding members of the co-op were Felice (Phil) Miragliotta, Victor Basile, Frank Bombara and Bill Burton. With the end of the Second World War and a resultant sense of optimism and demand for more upmarket products they recognized the huge potential for generating high value income from lobsters of the highest quality and standard.

The tradition of fishing runs through many of the Co-op members and their families. Today, grandsons of some of these founding families are still involved.
